Tecumseh Community School's mandate is to engage and support our community. We offer programs and events, from which any proceeds are channeled back into the community, either as gifts to the school, local non-profits, or to charities. 

Local Projects/Groups Supported by Tecumseh Community School

• Tecumseh Public School - The Community School supports the Public School in many areas. Our funding has provided Tecumseh with basketball hoops and benches for the playground, funding for Tecumseh's Music and Phys Ed Programs, as well as to the School Library.  We support and fund the Tecumseh Home and School in many of their endeavours, including the playground equipment.
  
• Landon Library Summer Reading Program, Halloween in the Village and Christmas in the Village Activities
  
• Zhaawanong Shelter
• Along with the City of London, we sponsored and funded the Mural on Farquharson Arena that beautifies the Tecumseh School grounds. 
• Tecumseh School Funfair - each year there is a free activity (bouncer or mini golf) paid for by the Community School

• Wortley Village - We sponsored one of the bicycle racks  installed in Wortley Village in 2011, a project spearheaded by OSCO.

OSCOR Award Winner 2006

At the November 2006 meeting of the Old South Community Organization, the Tecumseh Community School was given an OSCOR award.  This Old South Community Organization Recognition award is given out each year to people and groups that have made a significant contribution to our neighbourhood.

Farquharson Arena Mural

Attended by students, teachers, friends, neighbours, local MPP's and Mayor Anne-Marie DeCicco-Best, the official unveiling of the Farquharson Arena Mural was a well attended event. The mural, titled "Area Wildlife Migration and Preservation" was  an ambitious project spearheaded by the Tecumseh Community School, completed by local artist and teacher Ron Milton. Funding for the mural was provided by Tecumseh Community School, Old South Community Organization and the City of London (London Arts Council).

Connecting Over Pie will return in 2023!

An evening of poluck pies!  Need we say more?

Pie Night 2019 was a wonderful success!  Thanks to all who attended and brought so many delicious pies to share!  And thanks to the Wesley-Knox Choirs for the excellent entertainment! And thanks also to all our TCS Volunteers who worked so hard to set the gym up and to wash so many dishes!

Annual Family Skating Party:

The Community School hosts a free Family Skate once a year at Farquharson Arena.  Families can skate for an hour, then pop over to the Tecumseh Gym for cookies, hot chocolate and entertainment.  In partnership with the Old South Community Organization.



Multi-Cultural Friendship Dinners:

Tecumseh Community School hosted it's 3nd Annual Multi-Cultural Friendship Dinner on Friday April 30th, 2010.  ELIMINATING BARRIERS, drawing inspiration from the historic fall of the Berlin Wall, was a great success.  Our thanks to the Tecumseh Community School Community, and the German Language School London for an outstanding evening.
